Revolutionising mineral processing
Molycop is transforming mine operations by using digital data technologies to increase their productivity while reducing their carbon footprint.
Read MoreMolycop’s flotation collectors are engineered to operate across a vast range of alkalinity levels, providing faster flotation kinetics to deliver the best possible results.
Make An EnquiryImprove the recovery of valuable minerals with our extensive range of collectors for sulphide ore flotation based on the thiol chemical families: Xanthates, Thionocarbamates and Dithiophosphates.
Collectors are reagents that are used to selectively adsorb onto the surfaces of particles. They form a monolayer on the particle surface that essentially makes a thin film of non-polar hydrophobic hydrocarbons.
The collectors greatly increase the contact angle so that bubbles will adhere to the surface. Selection of the correct collector is critical for an effective separation by froth flotation. Collectors can be generally classed depending on their ionic charge: they can be nonionic, anionic or cationic.

Read MoreAgnico Eagle Fosterville Gold Mine (Fosterville) operates a gold plant in Australia comprising of a crushing and grinding circuit (SAG mill with a closed loop cyclone classification circuit) followed by flotation, bacterial oxidation and leaching circuits. The lack of surge capacity between the grinding and flotation circuit and restrictions on crushing operations due to noise constraints resulted in unique set of challenges, that required the implementation of a novel control solution using advanced instrumentation.
