Driving innovation at the 58th Annual Canadian Mineral Processors Operators Conference

Engage with the Molycop team at one of North America’s most respected mineral processing forums to share insights, explore innovations and support sustainable operations.

Key Facts

  • The 58th Annual Canadian Mineral Processors Operators Conference will take place in Ottawa, Canada, from 20–22 January 2026.
  • Molycop will showcase advanced grinding media, process control and digital instrumentation solutions.
  • The event brings together operators, engineers, academics and innovators to tackle mineral processing challenges.
This January, Molycop heads to Ottawa for the 58th Annual Canadian Mineral Processors Operators Conference, a leading event for professionals across the mineral processing value chain.

Collaborating for performance and sustainability

Over the event’s three days, operators, engineers, academics and innovators will exchange ideas, explore operational challenges and discover the latest advancements in comminution, flotation and process optimisation.

For Molycop, the conference is more than a showcase of technology – it’s an opportunity to engage directly with mill operators to understand the challenges they meet every day.

According to Stevan Ostojic, Molycop Technology Manager – North America:

It’s always exciting to engage directly with operators and engineers. Our goal is to help clients optimise plant performance and deliver measurable results.

Stevan Ostojic, Molycop Technology Manager – North America, will be attending the 58th Annual Canadian Mineral Processors Operators Conference.

Technology that drives results

Molycop will highlight how innovative grinding media, advanced process control and digital instrumentation can transform mineral processing operations. The team will demonstrate how these technologies, combined with technical expertise, can deliver efficiencies in comminution and flotation, and improve throughput and recovery, while supporting long-term sustainability.

“The conference is a great forum for collaboration,” Stevan says. “By combining technical expertise with innovative tools, we can show how process optimisation supports productivity and sustainability.

Fosterville Gold Mine Case Study

Agnico Eagle Fosterville Gold Mine (Fosterville) operates a gold plant in Australia comprising of a crushing and grinding circuit (SAG mill with a closed loop cyclone classification circuit) followed by flotation, bacterial oxidation and leaching circuits. The lack of surge capacity between the grinding and flotation circuit and restrictions on crushing operations due to noise constraints resulted in unique set of challenges, that required the implementation of a novel control solution using advanced instrumentation.
