Overview

Molycop specialises in producing track wheels and gear blanks and has a solid track record in delivering high-hardness and wear-resistant products for high mechanical loading.

A modern CAD/CAM system links design flexibility to manufacturing at the shop floor by generating tooling for forging, rolling and machining programs for the CNC wheel machining centres. Sophisticated inspection techniques and accredited quality assurance systems ensure optimum product quality is maintained.

Specialised materials for industrial applications

Molycop has the in-house steelmaking experience and technical personnel to develop specialised materials for specific applications. Molycop developed the first Micro Alloy wheels over 25 years ago (under the Comsteel name) and they have been the industry leader in wear and defect propagation performance since. Micro Alloy wheels are proven in locomotive, passenger and freight operations throughout Australia and globally.

Molycop’s experience means substitute materials can be customised for any track wheel or gear blank requirement.
