Molycop supports its customers across Victoria’s historic goldfields

Molycop’s hands-on support of its customers was evident during a recent visit to Victoria’s historic gold mining regions by Account Manager Sean Mee.

Key Facts

  • Molycop has longstanding partnerships with gold mining operations in Victoria that are central to Australia’s gold production.
  • Account Manager Sean Mee visited sites across Victoria to engage directly with customers on grinding media performance, downstream support and use of digital tools.
  • Molycop offers tailored technical services such as mill audits and real-time digital monitoring to help mining operations optimise performance and plan for the future.
Molycop’s commitment to customer support goes far beyond supply – it’s about building relationships, understanding site-specific challenges and ensuring that Molycop products and services make a difference on the ground.

That commitment was on display recently when Sean Mee, Molycop Account Manager based in Australia, travelled across Victoria to visit longstanding customers operating in historic gold mining regions.
“Victoria has a deep legacy in gold mining and the operations here play an important role in Australia’s resources sector,” Sean said. “For Molycop, it’s important that we’re not just a supplier, but a trusted technical partner. These visits are an opportunity to listen to what our customers are experiencing and look at how we can support them even better.”

Support for longstanding customers

Gold was first discovered in Victoria in the 1850s. While the methods and technologies associated with gold extraction have changed dramatically since then, the region remains one of the most significant contributors to Australia’s gold output. Molycop is proud to work alongside operators in this region, some of whom the company has partnered with for decades, helping them optimise their operations with technical solutions tailored to their needs.

During the visit, Sean spent time on-site with metallurgists, plant operators and procurement teams, discussing everything from grinding media performance to downstream processing support and digital optimisation tools.

“We offer a broad range of technical services – from mill audits and performance reviews to digital monitoring solutions like MillSlicer,” Sean explains. “But just as important is our role in keeping the lines of communication open. Our customers know they can pick up the phone and get support when they need it – and our site visits help us stay aligned and proactive.”

Molycop products in action

The visit was also a valuable opportunity to see Molycop’s products in action and to continue conversations around performance optimisation, supply planning and innovation.

“Ultimately, our job is to make sure our customers feel supported and understood,” Sean said. “We’re proud to play a small part in their success and continue building strong, trusted partnerships across Victoria’s goldfields.”
