Strengthening a long-standing community partnership

Members of Molycop’s Kamloops team in Canada recently returned to volunteer with the Kamloops Food Bank, continuing their support of the Starfish Program — an initiative dedicated to ensuring local students have access to consistent, nutritious meals over the weekend.
This partnership has been in place for several years and reflects the Kamloops team's ongoing commitment to supporting families in the communities where they live and work.

Supporting students one backpack at a time

Each Friday, approximately 250 backpacks filled with easy-to-prepare, nutritious food are distributed across 30 schools in School District 73. These meal packs help bridge the gap for children who rely on school meal programs during the week but may face food insecurity on weekends.
During their most recent volunteer session, Molycop employees once again helped assemble these packs — a practical contribution that continues to make a tangible difference for many families.

Dustin Armstrong, HR Manager Canada, highlighted the importance of sustained involvement:

Community support is part of who we are in Canada. Seeing our team volunteer their time year after year to support local families is something we’re incredibly proud of. It reflects the values we live by at Molycop — looking after people and making a positive contribution where we operate.

A continued focus on community wellbeing

The Starfish Program provides more than food — it offers reassurance and stability for students and families who rely on it each week. Molycop’s continued involvement in Kamloops demonstrates how long-term partnerships between industry and community organisations can generate meaningful, lasting impact.
We congratulate and thank the Kamloops team for their continued dedication and leadership in supporting their local community.
