Supporting students one backpack at a time
The Starfish Program fills a critical gap for children who may not have consistent access to food on weekends. Every Friday morning, the Kamloops Food Bank delivers approximately 250 backpacks to 30 schools across the district. Each pack contains nutritious, easy-to-prepare items that ensure students have meals they can rely on until they return to school on Monday morning. In their most recent volunteer session, members of the Molycop team helped assemble another round of these essential meal packs, continuing their hands-on contribution to a program that remains vital for many families in the region.
