Bringing people together through shared experiences is an important part of building strong teams and stronger communities.
Recently, employees from Molycop's operations in Mexico participated in the Ninth AISAC Health Run (Carrera Atlética por la Salud), an annual community event organised by the Asociación de Industriales de El Salto (AISAC).

Promoting health and wellbeing through community participation

The AISAC Health Run promotes healthy lifestyles while creating opportunities for employees and their families from across the region to connect outside the workplace. The 2024 event attracted approximately 1,400 adults and 250 children, with activities designed for participants of all ages.

As both a sponsor and participant, Molycop was proud to support an initiative that aligns closely with the values of wellbeing, teamwork, and community engagement.

Bringing colleagues and families together

Employees joined colleagues, families, and representatives from other local organisations for a day focused on health, recreation, and connection. The event featured 5 km and 10 km races, children's activities, and family-oriented experiences that encouraged participation across generations.

Beyond promoting physical activity, the event provided an opportunity for participants to strengthen personal connections and enjoy time together in a positive community environment.

Supporting stronger community connections

Beyond the race itself, the event highlighted the role local organisations can play in creating opportunities for community interaction. AISAC, which represents industrial companies across the El Salto region, uses initiatives such as the Health Run to promote employee wellbeing and foster stronger relationships between businesses, workers, and their families.

Through events like these, organisations can help create a sense of community while encouraging healthy and active lifestyles.

More than a sponsorship

For the Molycop team in Mexico, the event was more than a community sponsorship. It was an opportunity to spend time together outside of work, strengthen relationships across teams, and participate in an initiative that positively contributes to the local community.

The enthusiastic participation of employees and their families demonstrated the value of creating opportunities for connection beyond the workplace.

Recognising the organisers and participants

We extend our congratulations to everyone involved in organising another successful AISAC Health Run and thank AISAC for its ongoing commitment to promoting health, wellbeing, and community connection.

We would also like to recognise our colleagues in Mexico for their enthusiastic participation and for continuing to represent Molycop's commitment to supporting the communities where we operate.

Doing what matters through community engagement

Events like these remind us that strong communities are built through participation, partnership, and a shared commitment to wellbeing.

By supporting initiatives that bring people together, encourage healthy lifestyles, and foster meaningful connections, Molycop continues to strengthen its engagement with the communities where we live and work.
