Based in Brisbane, Edgar is the Machine Vision Manager at Molycop. A highly experienced chemical engineer and professional engineer (Pr.Eng.), Edgar brings over 20 years’ expertise in process control, optimisation and technology commercialisation to his role. Edgar leads the development and integration of Molycop’s advanced AI-powered vision technologies across global mineral processing operations. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing real-time process characterisation and automation.

Dr Sebastian Maaß, CSO & Co-Founder, SOPAT
Dr Sebastian Maaß studied process engineering (Dr.-Ing.) at the Technical University of Berlin. He has detailed expertise in process analysis and simulation, as well as in the development and application of computer-aided, optical measuring methods. Dr Maaß is currently CSO of SOPAT GmbH and the first contact person for strategic development, marketing and sales. His particular area of research expertise concerns particle measurement technology. To date he has published more than 25 peer review articles and has authored/coauthored over 90 lectures and poster presentations at national and international scientific conferences.
