Welcome Sonia James to Molycop Australia

Sonia James joins Molycop's Newcastle team.

In recognition of International Women’s Day, we have a great story from our Australian operations in Newcastle, Australia.

We would like to welcome Sonia James to the Molycop team as the Manufacturing Improvement Specialist in Steelmaking. Prior to taking on this role at Molycop, Sonia was the winner of the 2021 Hunter Manufacturing Awards Rising Star Award.

Limited opportunities for females in engineering in her home country of India saw Sonia take the brave step of moving to Australia to complete her Master’s in Engineering Science in Brisbane, eventually leading her to take up this role at Molycop.

We wish her the best of luck and have no doubt she will be welcomed with open arms by the team in Australia.
