Maximise recovery and process efficiency

Molycop provides technical support in mineral flotation testing and reagent evaluation to ensure a successful outcome for customers’ projects. 

Flotation tests are conducted at dedicated Molycop laboratories by Molycop experts to evaluate different reagent formulations, flotation kinetics and process variables. Molycop tests include batch flotation studies, flotation kinetics testing and open/closed loop tests to assess reagent effectiveness and flotation system design, helping to maximise recovery and improve process efficiency.

Optimisation of flotation circuits

Molycop’s flotation circuit optimisation tests include:

Batch flotation tests: Study the efficiency of different reagent formulas and doses (collectors, foaming agents, dispersants, depressants, etc.), particularly the impact of variables such as pH, P80, percentage of solid and type of water (process, sea, osmosis).

Flotation kinetics tests: Determine the kinetic constant (K) and maximum recovery (Rmax).

Open and closed loop tests (TCA and TCC): Evaluate the design of the flow chart and the set of flotation reagents (collectors, foams, dispersants, depressants, etc.) required to produce a metallurgical projection for a study sample.
